Silicone Wristbands for Events

Summary: Depending on the type of event Silicone wristbands could be ideal in terms of separating groups of people. However as the band can be removed it would not be sufficient for ticketed events where security is important. If the event is free of charge and open to the public than silicone wristbands would be a great way to promote a brand or raise awareness for a special cause or charity.

 

Pros:

  • Silicone wristbands come in both adults and children sizes meaning they are available for all ages and are very comfortable to wear. The product is extremely durable and can be worn for months after an event takes place.
  • Plastic wristbands are an easy way for a brand to connect with the public and potential customers. They are commonly used as giveaways at brand activations where consumers can show their support by wearing the wristband.

Cons:

  • If the event is only for ticket holders then silicone wristbands cannot be used as a form of controlling entrance. They can be removed and given to third parties which would endanger the security of attendees and the event.
  • Depending on the size of the event, the minimum quantity order for silicone wristbands is 100 units. Production time of two weeks is also prohibitive for those organising events at short notice.

  • The only constraint with a Tyvek wristband is that it cannot be worn for longer than 2 to 3 days and if the event is taking place over a number of days the band may need to be replaced at some point due to wear and tear.

Fabric Wristbands for Events

Vinyl Wristbands for Events

  • A locked closure system means a Vinyl Wristband cannot be transferred without clear signs of tampering.

Cons:

  • Full colour print is expensive and Organisers may prefer a Fabric Wristband which can be printed in full colour.
  • Unit price is relatively high on orders of 1,000 units or less which may see Event Organisers prefer Tyvek or Fabric Wristbands.
